Calls blocked on iPhone still ring on my Mac

I have the setting on my iPhone to block all calls not from contacts. Annoyingly while the calls are blocked on my iPhone, they still ring on my Mac.

The iOS setting not being propagated to my Mac is:

Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers

Any one else have this bug?

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.14

Greetings, PatrickEB.

I see that you've set your iPhone to Silence Unknown Callers. The problem is, the calls still come through on your Mac. I'm glad to help with this.

Detect and block spam phone calls -- Unfortunately, Silence Unknown Callers only works on your iPhone.

Feedback - MacBook Pro -- If you'd like, you can provide feedback to Apple about adding this feature to FaceTime on your MacBook Pro as well.

Take care.

Hi BreeZee_17,

I've submitted a feature request with the link you provided, though I think the more natural topic for the feature request is macOS, not the specific hardware.

It is very odd that my phone does not ring by my computer does. It seems to me that if the call is blocked on the phone, it should not be possible for it to come through on the computer. I guess what the phone is doing is not actually blocking the call, but rather it is letting the call ring through and just not notifying me on the phone.

Regards,

Patrick
