Twitch not working on my iPad on safari

I’ve been watching twitch through safari on my iPad 2 for the past couple of weeks and it had been working fine until today. When trying to watch a stream it doesn’t load and I can’t search on twitch anymore. I was wondering why I can’t watch twitch streams anymore and if I need to buy a new iPad with a higher iOS compatibility.
