My phone # shows wrong under device info inside my Apple ID on my iPhone XS Max

How can I correct the phone number under Device Info inside my Apple ID on my iPhone XS Max? I just upgraded to this device from an iPhone 6s Plus.

You need to change the number on your Apple ID. After the change, allow up to 24 hours for the change to sync. Before trying to make the change, sign out of Messages/FaceTime.
