I went into the Home app on my iPhone and selected Invite, then tapped on my partner's iCloud email address (which appears under the Family heading in the popup contacts list, then I click Send Invite. I now see under his name on the Home Settings "Invitation Pending." However, he never gets an email or text message or any invite at all. I've checked his spam folder, too, nothing there.
So where is this invite going and why doesn't he receive it?

I see that the person that you're sending an invitation to for the Home app is not receiving the invite. I can understand your concern, and I'd be happy to help.
First, let's make sure that both devices are running the latest version (13.4.1) of software. Next, are both of you using two-factor authentication on your devices?

If you both already have these things in place on your devices, try restarting your Wi-Fi router, connecting to your network again, and then sending the invite again.

Unfortunately, after jumping through all these ridiculous hoops and checking all these settings, it still doesn't work. Apple has made their software so complicated to use anymore. I feel like I'm back to my Windows days when I had to reboot everything twice a day just to keep systems running relatively smoothly. Now I do the same with Apple products.
I guess there is no way to get this software actually working with other people in my family and household. I've done everything you outlined and the person I'm trying to add never gets any kind of invite. How are these invites sent anyway? By email? Text message? Notification?
