Screen goes black when bending laptop

The slightest adjustment to the top half (screen) of my laptop causes my screen to go black. The touchbar and laptop are still functional, but I can't see anything on the screen. I have to close my laptop, wait a couple seconds, and then re-open it to see a screen. However, sometimes when I try to open my laptop past 90 degrees it goes black as well. How do I fix this?
