MacBook Pro suddenly went dead.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) wont turn on, I switched it on and was able to login in the afternoon and it shutdown, the battery percentage was very low so I thought let it charge for sometime. It is now fully charged according to the battery indicator on the left side of the laptop. But it wont respond at all when I press the power button.

Things I tried so far.

  1. Press and Hold power button for 10 seconds (even more seconds) did not work. Tried this step with and also without the charger connected.
  2. Tried resetting SMC ( I mean I tried pressing and holding the key combinations , but no change was seen)

I am mentioning few other additional details that might be helpful in solving the issue.

  • There is no light on caps lock key, no chime, no glow on the screen, no sound of fan, no hdd vibration in the laptop when I try to press the power button.

  • I currently dont have any spare hardware. I am using a original charger (not the one came with the laptop but purchased a new one about 4 years ago)

  • Change in hardware was done around 2 years ago. (keyboard was replaced)

  • No change was done in the hardware or Software since my last login.

  • Last Action done on computer when the laptop was on: Using Google Chrome to search few things on Web.
