New Apple Watch audio and haptic alert when losing Bluetooth connection to iPhone
I have a Series 4 Watch paired with an iPhone 11. Whenever the watch goes out of Bluetooth range from the phone I have been getting the usual red icon at the top of the watch face. Starting about three days ago I have also been getting an audio (two-tone descending) and haptic alert when the Bluetooth connection is lost. I find nothing on the Apple website, or anywhere else, describing this. Two questions:
- Is anyone else hearing and feeling this alert when losing Bluetooth connectivity?
- How do I turn it off? I often leave the phone on its charger when I'm in the house and moving around in the house (which we're all doing a lot of these days) I frequently lose and then regain Bluetooth connectivity. The audio and haptic alerts get annoying real fast and, while I can see that they could be useful for some, I'd like to silence them.
