DELETED FILES FROM ALL COMPUTERS

Hello everyone, my son deleted some very important folders that were on desktop of my MacBook, and emptied the trash. I wasn t very worried as I knew that I have the same folders on my iMac. Next day when I wanted to work on those folders, I realised that the same folders disappeared from my iMac and I don' t know how to get them back. My desktop is also on iCloud drive, but i couldn t find them even there. I ve tried everything, I ve also bought Drill PRO, but manage just to recover some files with extensions than can not be opened. Do you have any idea? Please help me, thank you :)
