iPhone doesn't recognize it's battery

So, I've been trying to find a local, authorized store to take a look at my phone, but I've had NO luck at all. My phone, which I've only had for a few months had turned off, randomly, at around 80% battery life and wouldn't turn back on for 10 minutes or so but when it did it said the battery wasn't recognized (???). It then continued to turn off and on non-stop through out the night. I NEED it fixed but in order to send it in for repair I see it requires me to turn off "Find my iPhone" which is impossible for me to do since it doesn't even work in the first place!

What am I supposed to do? Please help!

Hi kyc95x,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help turning off Find my iPhone. It sounds like you need to do this to send in your iPhone for a battery replacement.

You can do this at iCloud.com though a computer's browser.

  1. Sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID.
  2. Go to Find My iPhone.
  3. Click All Devices at the top of the screen.
  4. Select the device that you want to remove from iCloud.
  5. Click Erase [device]. Select Next until the device is erased.
  6. Click Remove from Account.

Have a fantastic day!
