Audio issues on Keynote Live

I like keynote live as the presentations look great and the animations appear nicely on the remote end, but it the Audio issues are a pain.

On a viewer watching on a windows machine in a browser, all videos in the presentation are muted.

on Macs and iPads, the Audio for the video get played even if I muted the audio in the main presentation. The tool is great, but when you are presenting 37 people with different machines in a company, these audio issues look embarrassing! You have to keep asking people "Can you hear the audio?"

Please do something about this.

  • Keynote Live is a cut down version of Keynote for Mac, some features are not implemented in Keynote Live
  • When playing back on Windows computers, the only filetypes that work are: MP3, WAV, M4A
  • The web browsers that work are; Safari for Mac and Edge for Windows 10

1 - On the Mac sending the Keynote:

go to: Keynote > Preferences > General

select the option for: Copy Audio and Movies into document

2 - On the computer receiving the presentation:

with the video displayed in Safari, click the sound button to turn sound on (bottom right),

then drag the sound volume slider upwards - orange arrow

You may need to click on the play button (bottom left) to start playing the video - green arrow
