Password or passcode? If the passcode, see the Apple Support article(s) below.

Passcode - If you forgot the passcode for your iPod Touch or your device is disabled.

If Touch ID, see if anything here helps.

Touch ID on iPhone and iPad.

Touch ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad.
