How do I block ads on both Firefox and Safari?

My spouse's MacBook has an adblocker in the Application menu. I don't on my iMac 10.13.6 Where can I find one?

In Firefox, select Tools : Add-ons and that will take you to their related site. In the Safari Applications menu, select Safari Extensions… and that will take you to the related Mac App Store location for extensions.

Web sites that are dependent upon advertisement revenue are certain to annoyingly, and frequently interrupt your browsing with their own pop-up scolding you for using an ad blocker. On some sites, this can be more aggravating than the ads you are attempting to block.

Thank you very much. Went to the Apps store for Safari, but to addon on Firefox.

Yes, I know they are dependent on ads and I don't mind them if they are just there. But when scantily clad women jiggle their "assets" it is distracting. And i think that I broke a cardinal rule against spamers: if you respond, they know you are there. I would close those annoying ads and then would "tell google" why I did not like the ad "inappropriate." Which meant nothing, of course, only increased the rate.

Sigh

Thanks, again
