Blurry fonts Catalina

Since resetting my mac air it automatically updated to Catalina and my fonts are blurry?

  1. Double check to see whether Font Smoothing is activated or not under System Preferences and General. Try both ways with Font Smoothing activated and deactivated.
  2. Under System Preferences and Displays - Ensure that the Resolution is to Default Display and not scaled. If you like to choose a resolution from Scaled then pick the right one so that the fonts show up clearly.

Clear your Temporary Internet Files (Cookies & Cache) of Safari:

  • Cookies perform remembrance of certain site-entered data.
  • Cache keeps a snapshot of the last time you visited a site.

Any Security Software Installed?:

Security Software may be making their plugins not interoperate as they should with their HTML code. So, uninstall the Security Software, being sure to use the uninstaller to do so. Download the uninstaller from the developer's domain and none other, as getting elsewhere may result in spam or malware installation.

No its not a common Apple issue that I know of.

To Reset SMC (System Management Controller) follow the instructions from this article by ➔ Apple How to reset the SMC of your Mac. If that does not help then try -

To Reset the NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory) follow the instructions from this article by Apple ➔ Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
