trackpad stuck

The trackpad on my MacBook running OS 10.15.4 gets stuck from time to time. It feels like it clicks down but doesn't;t pop back up. Other times my cursor disappears. I have to wait a while for it to return to normal or turn the computer off and start again.

Anyone experiencing this?

Ideas on how to fix it?

The trackpad on my MacBook Pro is not responding. The trackpad on my MacBook Pro is not responding - I’ve rebooted and the sign-in screen comes up but I cannot trigger the sign-in box. No response or cursor from my trackpad when depressed. Ideas, anyone?
