Notifications on watch

Hi guys,

ive recently set up my new Apple Watch series 5.

I want to work out how I can always receive notifications through my watch. When it’s locked and I’m not on my phone, I don’t seem to receive any notifications.

For about 8 hours yesterday the watch didn’t lock it just dimmed and I received every notification! How do I make that happen all the time?

also, when I tried my first HIIT workout, the watch kept pausing and locking. How can I stop this?

thanks Cameron

Hi,

So as it is for notifications take a look on iPhone Apple Watch App and there you have Notifications section which allow you to adjust all those globaly but also per app basis.

Regarding the workout it is quite simple trick. After you start the workout You should swipe right to get to the workout controls.

if you pick a Lock it will stop the watch screen reacting on accidental touches or sweat. To get out of this mode You have to use Watch Crown to unlock.

However I assume that the problem You experience is because of shortcut

Crown + Side button at the same time.

This combination is making screenshot of Your watch screen(if enabled) but in workout it Pause or Resume workout.

Only way I see to overcome it is to flip the watch to get the buttons away from you wrist which during workout moat probably pressing those buttons and pause workout.

You can go to General>Watch Orientation to change the screen display orientation and doing so You can have the buttons on other side and still see the screen properly.

I hope this helps
