spss 26 on catalina 10.15.4 does not open at all

I recently bought a a new licence for SPSS 24, installed it and SPSS opened.

The next time, however, the program did not even launch. So I decided to update my Mac to Catalina 10.15.4. After doing so, I read that the old version of SPSS was not compatible with the new Mac update, so I bought the version 26 of SPSS.

Even if it is written that the version should be compatible with the Mac update, the program keeps not opening at all. When I try to open SPSS I only get the notification "SPSS statistics quit unexpectedly".

I already tried everything that I could find on the internet, including trying to install the SPSS statistics patch. Nothing works.

I am not sure what the problem might be. If it's either about SPSS or my Mac, I can't find a solution.

Is there anything i can do?

IBM released SPSS Statistics 26 Fixpack 1 to address some of the issues from last fall with Catalina and version 26. I recommend you download and install it, or newer, related v26 Fixpacks (if they exist). Here is IBM's earlier discussion about Catalina from last Fall.

No one here can fix Catalina issues with SPSS Statistics v26. That is IBM's product and you should be in contact with them. Especially if the preceding Fixpack 1 fails to resolve your Catalina issues.
