Ipad mail and Reminder not syncting with iphone

Hi:

I have an IPAD (brand new at christmas) and an Iphone 7 +.

the Reminders are not syncing with phone.
Mail: If I delete messages from mail etc...it translates to ipad...but not in the other direction. If I delete emails on ipad...I have to then go to phone to do it.

Any ideas? I thoughts it was an Icloud issue...but the Reminders and Mail are on icloud on both devices.

Suggestions?

Hello MFWPDC and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I see you are having some difficulties syncing Reminders and email between an iPad an iPhone using iCloud. Start here:

If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync - Apple Support

That article only deals with Reminders. As your issue also involves email, you may want to consider signing out of iCloud on both devices, rebooting both of them and then signing back in.
