External screens now has purple tint since updating to Catalina

When I first purchased my Macbook Pro 13" 2019 and connected my external screens they had a purple tint. I solved this at the time by replacing the specific file in System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides which made my external displays normal.

Once I updated to Catalina, the previous fix does not work because I do not have permissions to edit the files in that directory. I've tried;

Launching in recovery mode and using csrutil disable

Tried after using the sudo mount -uw in bash

In the specific folder I attempted to give myself access to read and write (Even though my user is an admin), then attempted the previous fix - permission to do this was denied

My screens do not have the HDR option as seen in similar solutions on this forum.

So, guys I'm pretty much stuck. Any help would be appreciated since I cant exactly work from home without these two external screens!

You got the external displays to work earlier by updating the "driver" related software and letting the OS know how to "successfully" render your picture. It sounds like Catalina is unable to use that info - hence you'll need to get another update that will tell this version of the OS how to render successfully as well.

Generally, Mac OS includes a lot of display driver data natively but sometimes custom or non popular devices do trip it up.
