How to stop iTunes from automatically playing downloaded files when opening Chrome and others?
I am on a MACBOOKPRO 2015 and MOjave latest version
Whenever I open Chrome or various apps ITUNES opens up. If the files are audio or video it plays them without even asking me.
Is extremely annoying, especially when using Chrome to search.
IE it happened now maybe 10 times. When I add a word in this field it opens. Right now I simply put it on the back, but if I move the scrollbar it goes back to the front asking me to insert log and pass which I've done alredy many times.
I tried various antivirus software but without any result. They all say my machine is clean.
It happens always with Chorme and Safari, and any other app for audio-Video (ie VLC, IskyVideoconverter) but also with KEKA no matter what I unrar or unzip. TELEGRAM and randomly on other apps. Also with files Recorded during conferences through ZOOM.
In various cases it stops whateverelse I am doing so it's a superior problem. I am unable to recreate the conditions leading Itunes to open even when there is nothing to play (as typing here for example)...
It ONLY happens in this machine, even after totally erasing it and reinstalling it from the Apple Mojave installer.
Anyone knows what happens if I erase Itunes? I am not into music and I never use this app.
Could this be because after totally erasing the internal disk and installing using the option to go back to the original system the machine came with (ELCAPITAN) and later upgrading to MOJAVE.
Thanks a lot as this ITUNES actions are driving me bingo.
