Ipod touch doesnt work

I dropped my ipod touch, and it no longer works. The screen remains black even when i plug into a power source, and it does nothing when i press the buttons. Please advise

When you drop your ipod and the screen wont work what can be done Is there a way to fix the ipod after it's been dropped and the screen stops working?
