Photos Synched From Finder will be removed

What photos are considered “Finder” I want to sync my photos to my iCloud and it says I will have 736 photos removed.

Why is that and how can I avoid this. Which photos are considered Finder photos

Thanks

I do not want to delete any photos, I just want to sync all my photos from my phone to the iCloud. This is bc I am getting a new phone and want to be able to basically move everything from my phone to my new phone via the cloud. I have also synched my phone with my iMac, but bc its 13 years old, not sure if the new IPhone will work with it so I am placing my back up in two places. Any suggestions, I will be getting a new iMAc in a few weeks also

thanks

I wish I could upload a picture, I literally just uploaded everything today and the issue I am talking about is when I hit the switch for PHOTOS to go to the cloud is when I get the message that I will loose the Finder photos. In fact it says they will be removed. I assume these are photos that I used my Nikon camera for and uploaded to my computer then to my iPhone. My assumption is that I can synchronize with my computer and get everything that way, I just don’t want anything removed bc I want them on my phone. Travel photos mostly. So maybe for now I will first try to sync the new phone with just my computer And then all is good, but none of my photos now are in the cloud bc of this warning.

I just don’t want to loose these photos bc they are important, but if they are not on the phone it wont kill me.

Do you think that Ill just get everything from the computer and will it synch with a 13 year old iMac. I mean my iPhone is iOS 13.3.1 and it synched no problem

thanks again

You don't need to delete anything. I was just explaining how Finder sync works.

The photos on your phone, which you synced from your computer, I must assume are still in a photo folder on your computer? Check to be sure.

If you go to Settings > Your Name, iCloud, Apple ID, iTunes & App Store > iCloud - Do you have Photos turned on? If you do, you don't really need to do anything more.

How do you backup your phone? Do you use iCloud backup, which automatically backs up your phone, when your plugged into charge and connected to Wifi?

If you do, setting up your new phone when you get from an iCloud backup is quite simple. Here is a link about how to do that --> Transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

In that link are three ways to restore the data from your phone to your new phone.
