Apple TV 4k CEC Soundbar issues

HI All. I have just got samsung q90r soundbar. I have connected my Apple TV 4K and Sky Q sources directly to the soundbar, then soundbar to tv (LG c6 OLED). The issue I am having is that when both sources are active, and I try to change HDMI sources using my samsung soundbar remote, the Apple TV always seems to take over. SO when I switch to HDMi 1 (SKY Q) the source then quickly switches back to HDMI 2 where the Apple TV is by itself. Ive heard its to do with the CEC control but ive turned this off on the Apple TV but it still does it, any ideas?

Other equipment besides the Apple TV box will also have their own HDMI-CEC settings. Try turning them off, if the devices won’t play nice. Samsung may refer to HDMI-CEC as Anynet+; LG may refer to HDMI-CEC as SimpLink.
