Launching .rdp file
I have installed MS RDS Client. However if I try to launch an .rpd file the RDS client is not listed as one of the launch options. Anyone know how I can get it to launch?

Microsoft remote desktop mobile is the app you need to use on your apple device.
Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 is used for mac.
Once you get the Remote Desktop Mobile app on your ipad you are good to go.
They are different apps. As ruskin113 said, one is for macOS (Remote Desktop 10), the other is for iPadOS (Remote Desktop Mobile). Can you post as screenshot of the app you're trying to use, and of it not showing in the list for open with?
Good morning
I am apparently not allowed to post screenshots. I do not know why.
Remote Desktop Mobile is installed. The problem is it is not listed as an option when clicking Open With. The options are AirDrop, Outlook, Chrome, Notes, and Teams. There is no way I can see to add it as an option..
I am sorry I can't post a screenshot.
Thanks but I was looking for an answer specifically for ios, not MacOS
Are you using the official Microsoft app on your iPad?
Yes, MS Remote Desktop 10
On the iPad? The iPad app is called Remote Desktop Mobile.
They are one in the same.
I just sent myself a .rdp file from my Mac to my iPad. It appears that the RDP app for iOS/iPadOS does not have the capability to import config files at all.
This isnt working for me either. in the technical details of the app they say it supports .rdp files but i don't see anyway to open or import them with the app. Did anyone ever get this to work?
I haven't. I may have to wait and take it to an Apple store when they reopen to see what they have to say.
That's what I was expecting.
Under More the favorites listed are AirDrop and Copy to Outlook. The suggestions are Chrome, Notes, Teams, and Outlook.
I would expect it to be there or alternatively, have a way to add it in myself.
I have been looking at this for quite a while and tried uninstalling it, etc to no avail.
Swipe to the Left until you get to the 3 dots (...) that have the word "More" underneath. Tap More, and you should have a list of apps and it should be listed.
