I recently began using my moms old macbook for school. She bought a new on and now I am able to own this one. I am trying to find out if I can "wipe" her use and information from the computer without losing the stuff I have been doing for school.

Go to system preferences > Users & Groups. Make sure the lock on the bottom left is open, if not click on it and enter your credentials. Then highlight the account you want to delete and click on the minus icon right below 'Login Options'.

Follow the steps to wipe it clean and start over, setting it up from scratch as if you just took it out of the box.
Also, deleting the User account, does not delete all her data. Only data stored in the account's folder. Any apps downloaded from the App store store by her will remain on the computer and require her Apple ID to update. Also the operating system will also require her Apple ID.
Wipe it clean, is the best solution.
If you are using your own log-in on the Mac and you have administrator rights then you can delete her user account. That will delete all of the data for that account but will leave yours.
Pretty new to iOS so I've done pretty much everything, but I can't figure out how to delete her admin account. I also am set up as an admin
iOS is for iPhones and iPods. On Macs its macOS.
Follow the steps in the link I provided to start over and set it up as if it were brand new.
