My Iphone 7 port charges but when i pay music through headphones it plays out loud. I have tried various headphones with the phone, and tried in different Iphones. The port charges the phone ok so not sure if I have altered a setting. Help please

1) Open the Control Center
2) 3D press (or long press) on the music controls
3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)
4) Select headphones

Yes, try cleaning the charging port again. Try a really bright light and maybe a wood toothpick.
Also, try to test with another set of headphones. If you don't have another pair, they are pretty cheap and readily available everywhere.
Otherwise, you'll have to have the phone checked with the stores reopen.

Thanks for the advice - I have tried cleaning the port - when I plug in headphones and go to the control centre it doesn’t recognise that the headphones are in - does this mean the issue is with the port and I should continue trying to clean this? Thanks
