iPad wont turn on, only showing apple logo or 'connect to itunes' logo

My iPad wont turn on (not been used for a long time) have tried charging for a few hours but not working.


Tried resetting, also not working. All I can see if the apple logo and/or the connect to itunes logo. any advice please?

If its showing the connect to iTunes logo, then that's what you need to do.
