Apple Watch Face

When I haven't looked at my apple watch in a while and the face dims down, it just started doing this thing where, when I bring my watch up to look at it, it will automatically open up to my apple music app even though I made sure that all my apps are closed. It's just frustrating because I want to see the weather on my watch face but instead it opens up to my music.
