Roblox hacked

My daughter was playing Roblox on my iPad and someone hacked her Roblox account and changed her password. Will the hacker be able to get my personal data on my iPad?

iPad Air 2, iPadOS 13

1: iPad and iPhone can get hacked. It’s rare, but it’s possible. It almost certainly did not happen here. Keep your iPadOS version current.

2: Here? It’s much more likely the password was guessed, was leaked, was cracked, or was re-used. Password re-use is a very common cause of these cases. Folks use breaches of services, crack the passwords from those, and then try that same password and that email address on every other service. Recovered credentials are also used to scam users, claiming the webcam is recording or (many) other (bogus) claims. “Sextortions” and other schemes are common, and they often start with some variation of “we know your password is {one-of-your-passwords-here}”. 3: Recover the Roblox password:

4: Enable two-factor authentication, both on Roblox, and on the Apple ID. And any other service offering two-factor. Two-factor authentication makes an account take-over more difficult. And yes, re-using passwords is and remains hazardous.

5: If you have a Mac available and you’re using iCloud Keychain, the macOS Safari password display can be used to find duplicate passwords. Within Safari Preferences password security, look for the ⚠️ icon.
