Changing a system setting using Automator?

I am trying to create a quick action that I can add to my Touch Bar. When I am using Photoshop or Lightroom, I prefer to turn off True Tone and Auto-Brightness.

I attempted to "record" myself toggling and untoggling these for a pair of Quick Actions. But neither seems to work correctly unless the Display Preferences window is open and in focus. Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks!

Ultimately I created a Quick action with no input and the workflow was a single item, Run AppleScript.

The AppleScript was as follows:

tell application "System Preferences"
	reveal pane "Displays"
end tell
tell application "System Events" to tell process "System Preferences"
click checkbox 1 of tab group 1 of window 1
click checkbox 2 of tab group 1 of window 1
end tell
quit application "System Preferences"

Automator did you try saving as an "Application"—you can drag these to the Dock for one click access.

As an example only, light/dark toggle

As an alternative hold down the Option key and hit one of the brightness up/down buttons to go straight to the SystemPreference pane>Display to click the checkbox though.
