iPhone SE - charging problem

Hello - I bought an iPhone SE in, I think, 2017... I am currently struggling with the charging connection. I think the socket needs some kind of a clean-out. This happened once before & my local Apple branch sorted it out for me - however, I can’t visit my Apple branch at the moment. Any ideas how to help gratefully received. Thanks.
