Safari to Excel

I am having a problem every time I copy something from safari to excel on IPhone. It sends but will open the app and nothing else. I have downloaded the page I am sending and it cannot be found. Google chrome does not work either. This has worked fine in the past year but have had this problem now for a week. Any ideas? Is it excel?
