Multiplying in Numbers

Is there a way to make the numbers inputted in a column multiply by a specific number? For example, if I enter the number 5 in A2 I would like it to be multiplied by 2 and the amount automatically calculated and A2 changed to 10.

That is not how spreadsheets work.

You can, however, enter a value in call A2, then add a formula to cell B2 that computes 2 times the value in cell A2... like this:

select cell B2, then type the formula

=A2*2

then hit return. Then type a value in cell A2

now anytime you change the value in cell A2, then value in cell B2 will update to be twice the value in cell A2
