xbox elite series 2 controller on Mac

Is there anyway to use the xbox elite series 2 controller on Mac? Everyone seems to say its not compatible but might be soon with Mac updates? is there a way to use it now though? like an adaptor or something?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.12
