I changed my password on my email and now I keep getting the message on my phone to edit outlook settings. I press the notification and it says to re enter my password. When I press re enter password nothing happens. I need to do this otherwise the notification will keep coming up

I'd try to delete that mail account from the iPhone, restart your device, then add it back in (using the new password).
