My apps won’t update

I have an iPhone XR. When I try to update them, it either says that the password is wrong, which it’s not bc I changed it every time it said that, or it’ll say to switch to my other Apple ID, which I don’t use anymore. And when it takes me to settings to switch my Apple ID, it said it’s locked. When I try to unlock it, it says it’s unprotected or something

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID that was used to download/install them.

They won't update if you're using a different Apple ID.

You need to: delete those apps using the old Apple ID, then redownload/reinstall them using the new Apple ID.
