iCloud Music - "This media may be damaged." How to force re-upload?

Just recently about half (over 1000 songs) of the music I have on iCloud Music suddenly stopped playing. They were all songs that I uploaded myself over a year ago, and have been working fine until now. But now if I try to play them, they say, "Cannot Open. This media may be damaged."

So far the only way I can find to make them work again is to drag the song out of Music, delete the song from iCloud Music, and then drag it back into Music. There's obviously nothing wrong with the source files, or this wouldn't work, plus they play fine on my Mac where the originals are stored.

I guess if that's the way it has to be done I don't have a choice, but I'm hoping there's a way to just force the songs to upload to iCloud again without having to delete them first, because when I do that they lose the ratings I've given them. It would be a real pain to have to do this for all 1000+ songs again.
