Lost Contacts

Hello,

If your contacts were backed up the iCloud, you should be able to restore them:

iCloud: Restore your contacts, calendars and reminders, or bookmarks

However, it is possible that the missing contacts were tied to the old email account and weren't really iPhone "contacts." In that case, you should be able to add back your old email account to get those contacts back.

Depending on how you are managing your contacts, you may be able to restore them from a backup, if you have one made when the contacts were on the phone, and have not made one since you lost them. Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

This happened to me too and I cannot figure it out. My contacts were not associated with the gmail account I deleted and the email account was not my default account. My default account is my icloud.com email and that has not changed.

GemSGeorge, I am also wondering if it had something to do with my "work" gmail account was linked to my outlook??? Since I don't work there anymore, I do not have access to it. I saw another post about someone having the issue when they deleted outlook from their emails.

I lost my contacts 2 days ago. Didn’t know I deleted them. I don’t have an iCloud acct and haven’t changed any info, ie email address etc, so don’t know how to get them back. Thank you.
