Social Media Notifications not working

I had previously turned off all of my notifications for social media (Snapchat, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Facebook) in settings to take a break for a few weeks, but now that I've turned them back on I still have to go into the apps to see if I've received any notifications/messages (or calls on WhatsApp). However, I still receive iMessage/Text and Discord notifications. I have tried a soft-reset, and reset my network settings already. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your advice! I thought I had previously reinstalled the apps I was having issues with, but I did it again which fixed the issue.

To start, I suggest making sure notifications are configured correctly:


Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support


If that doesn’t help, try the steps in the article below:

While the title of the article may not seem to pertain to your issue, these are good steps to take for issues with apps.
