OpenSearchSystems Malware on Macbook

Anyone know how to get rid of OpenSearchSystems malware?

I can no longer make any sort of change via Chrome or Safari for my search browser and it has caused my macbook to lag and freeze on more than one occasion..

Tips?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14

Did you find a profile to remove? Not sure from your response.

No, nothing will prevent you from downloading and installing Trojans, which is how it got there in the first place. Such as, falling for a popup from a site that said you needed to update Flash. This is an extremely common fake download that installs whatever it is you get, but it definitely is never Flash.

No AV software of any kind can stop you from installing a Trojan. They don't even try.

What you can try is MalwareBytes for Mac. Its main function is to find and remove garbage you've already installed. Not prevent it. It's free to use and easily uninstalled from its menus when you're done with it. Like any other such software, it can only detect what it knows about. But it sure beats manually digging through your Mac to try and find such stuff.
