No video or audio files are playing on my macbook. Spotify songs won't play and youtube videos won't play. I know this is not a network or browser issue because I tried it on data and no video or audio files that are saved to my disk load either, which is weird, because everything else on my computer loads normally.

What do you mean by "won't play"? Error message? Blank screen and no sound?
How do you play the video/audio? Browser? QuickLook? QuickTime? Other?

I updated my computer which ended up working (just weird that it was sudden).
No video or audio files play.
