Banners not working on Macbook

I've set Facetime, Mail, Messages to display banners (or alerts) when I receive a new message or call, but none of these are displaying. Any ideas?

OS: High Sierra

Many thanks,

Emily

Hello mooreconnected,

I understand you're not receiving notifications like you expect on your Mac. I'd like to help you out with this.

Check to see if you happen to have Do Not Disturb enabled. This option would appear at the top of the list of applications in System Preferences > Notifications. Do Not Disturb automatically turns on if you connect your Mac to a TV or projector.

If you find that Do Not Disturb is not the culprit, make sure your Mac is updated to macOS High Sierra 10.13.6: How to update the software on your Mac. Test out notifications afterwards. If the issue persist, test them out while booted into a new user account: Set up users, guests, and groups. This will help narrow things down further. Respond back if you need further support with this issue.

Take care.
