I have reason to believe my email has been hi-jacked by persons unknown. I want to change my email and password with Apple without using the old email address with which I originally started the Apple account. How do I do this?

Whilst updating your AppleID account, you would be well advised to verify/update any secondary/recovery email addresses and trusted telephone numbers associated with your account. These may, at a later time, be crucial if ever needing to recover access to your account.
