"iPhone XR and iPhone SE don't support Live Wallpaper."

It says:

"iPhone XR and iPhone SE don't support Live Wallpaper."

Where do you get it from that it only goes for the first gen?

Yes, that is quite possible then. I checked the UK version of the article, its still not updated.
