I recently bought the unlocked version of the iPhone SE. I currently have Wing, but I want to switch to T-Mobile. However, when I enter my IMEI number it says it's not compatible. I talked to some in customer service and they said it would only be compatible up to 2G because it's not a T-Mobile phone. Why is that?? Are they correct? I got the unlocked phone for this reason.. so I could use it with any network I want.

I have iPhone SE Model and I am running 4G on that in India. This iPhone SE was bought from Las Vegas, USA 2 years back.

Please do not post any other number here. Not even IMEI number.
This is the new iPhone SE that came out a few weeks ago. I entered it in the T-Mobile website when I was trying to sign up. You have to check the compatibility when you bring your own phone.
