Caller ID setting missing on new ipone SE2
When I go to Settings > Phone > the option to show or hide my caller ID does not even exist... Where did it go?
iPhone SE

You need to contact your cell service provider and have them check the provisioning on your iPhone.
Those settings are not available on the phone if you're using a CDMA carrier such as Verizon or Sprint.
They are only available if you're using a GSM carrier such as AT&T or T-Mobile.
We're not talking about whether Caller ID works, we're talking about the controls in settings to change the caller id functionality.
Those controls don't exist when using a CDMA carrier.
Ahhhh... that would certainly be a reasonable explanation. I did switch carriers recently.
Yes, it does make sense for the OP, he changed carriers.
Follow up... according to my carrier, Apple removed these options... Quote: "they are no longer available on the iphone 8 or later".... Whaaaaaat???
Nuemerous options are missing from: Settings > Phone > under the "calls" heading:
Call Blocking & ID = missing
Call forwarding = missing
Call waiting = missing
Show my caller ID = missing
Is that correct?
You don't have "Show My Caller ID" under Call Waiting?
Correct
Good idea, thanks Deggie, I will check with them.
That makes no sense...caller ID works on my 6 but now it doesn't work on the new SE, but I've hsd Verizon the whole time
