iPhone 7 iOS 13.4 and 13.41 bluetooth issue

Bluetooth issue since iOS 13.4 with non-jailbroken iPhone 7. Every X minutes bluetooth will stutter for approximately 1 minute then returns to normal. X could be anywhere from 7 to 15 minutes.

Here are the following facts:

  • Happens on several different wi-fi networks in home and out of home
  • Happens with any app including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora and Safari
  • Happens on wi-fi, mobile data and in airplane mode (obviously bluetooth stays on)
  • Happens with at least 4 different bluetooth devices across 4 different manufacturers


Troubleshooting steps taken with no resolve:

  • Bluetooth toggle
  • Airplane mode toggle
  • Reboot phone
  • Forgot bluetooth device
  • Forgot all bluetooth devices
  • Reset networking
  • Reset phone to factory


Nothing fixes the issue and it continues to show bluetooth stutter. Again it happens every X minutes ranging from 7 to 15 minutes. I believe it has to do with some scheduled task that the phone is running. It's too much of a coincidence that it's cyclical.

Is it possible this is occurring only in certain areas or near other devices? This may indicate some sort of interference.
