How do I update my phone without WiFi but just data?

You aren't speaking to Apple. We are all users on this user to user only forum. Telling "us" to sort this out, will get you nothing. And Apple is not the issue. Your cellular provider is the issue. In cooperation with the cellular providers, data limits (even if you have and pay for unlimited data) makes doing updates via data not possible.

When you figure out how to get the cellular providers to change this requirement, you will get what you want. Until then, you either need to have Wifi in your home (I'm guessing you don't own a computer?) or go somewhere where there is Wifi available to you.

You don't, sorry.

Wifi connection is mandatory to update iOS on your iPhone.

Wasn't being aggressive at all. Honest, is more like it. That doesn't change the fact that we are all users and there is no way to update your phone without Wifi. Feel free to use the feedback link ProustGiulio provided above.

They have sorted it out. They make the rules and you must follow them.

Go to one of the hundreds of locations that offer free Wi-Fi.

You're not addressing Apple here. We are just users like you, not aware of Apple decisions or future plans.

this is ridiculous in this day and age. I do not have wifi. I only have unlimited data which I run everything in my home from, it’s a far superior service than wifi. Apple, you need to sort this out!!

So much aggression; it’s unnecessary!! I’m sure that people/Apple will look over these posts...it makes commercial sense.

And yes, I do have a computer. I’ve been working from home remotely for the last 9/10 weeks. I also have Netflix, Amazon Video Etc etc...I run it all from my mobile phone package, which as I said, is a much better service than Wifi services here in the UK.
