Voicemail of Loved One Who Passed

Does anyone know if it's possible to restore a backup from a newer iPhone to an older iPhone? I'm trying to retrieve a voicemail from a loved one who just passed but I don't want to lose my current messages, photos, etc on the phone I currently use. (Also, I've already checked my "deleted voicemail messages" folder.) Thanks for your help!

Is it possible to recover an old voicemail message? I have an iPhone 6s, it's running iOS 12.1. It is no longer connected to a cell service. Sometime around mid-2018 I had a voicemail message left on the phone from my grandfather. I'm assuming it's obvious what the reason for why I suddenly want to recover this voice message is. If I go to the voicemail on that phone it says "to retrieve a voicemail first set up a password and a greeting" and when I attempt to do that it says "voicemail unavailable." I wanted to save it when it was left, but it was pre screen recording and I didn't know how to go about that. Is there any possible way I can recover it, or do messages get deleted after a certain time or aren't recoverable from a phone with no cell service? If I temporarily put the SIM card for my current iPhone in it might that work?

iphone voicemails I am trying to recover deleted voicemails from a loved one who has passed away but when I look online for how to do so it comes up with a 'deleted voice messages' option on an Iphone. When I look on my 'phone' app and click 'voicemail' no options for recovering deleted voice messages come up. I am not sure if this option is too old. Does anyone know if there is another way to recover old voicemails?

how can i recover voicemails on the same icloud from my precious phone i upgraded my apple iphone and when i did, my voice mails did not transfer. i had a voicemail from my grandma who has now passed away. is there anyway i can retrieve this voicemail??

Restoring a backup to your phone is a destructive process meaning it will overwrite current content.

A restore is meant to bring your phone back to the state it was on the date of creation and will NOT merge with current content.

You can.

As long as the old phone:

Has enough Space
Can be updated to at least the same version of iOS that the backup was made on.
