Having problems accessing my email

I couldn't access my email account on my iPad 2. Each time I click on mail it always goes blank and later returned to homepage. I have deleted the email account and put it back with correct password yet I couldn't access my mail. What can I do to access my mails

So, when you attempt to access your mail account, when you tap on the Mail app, the page opens and then quickly closes, is that correct? If so, see this, If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open - Apple Support
