Have been using mail on iPad for long time. Then it disappeared. When I tried to sign into it, window said I already had an email account and wouldn’t let me go further. Email works on all my other devices. How to restore it?

Try removing your Mail account from Settings > Passwords & Accounts then re-add it.
I don't even see it in the list under passwords & Accounts. This might be because I deleted it already. So, now how do I add it back in?
